Having the sun beating down on my skin as I walked to the Green Shop in the distance (DIELLAS). It was a nice 5 minute stroll from our hotel in Gouvia Bay.
Walking up the little steep hill before getting to the top of the shop doors, I would have never imagined my noses sensory system reloading the memories of you.
Moving through the shop smiling picking up essentials and still thinking of you.
Wishing I could stay in the shop longer to hold onto the smell of you.
A Trip Down Memory Lane
Walking out of the summer heat and entering the shop air conditioned breeze.
I was flooded by memories of you
that scent I’ll never forget
Wishing you was still here but grateful
for the memories we shared over many years
From being told to shh from the cries of my Wii
opening to sweating buckets from
eating a whole can of beans
Makes me beam a smile of joy
Before the shop downstairs used to flood back memories of you too
Though that scent has since faded it took me
to come to Corfu to have another chance
of smelling the scent of you
you’ll always be close in spirit and the memories of you are still shared because we love you
Who would of thought our Nana
would stay up to watch the inbetweeners
their show definitely knew how to intrigue us all
What I would do to bottle up the scent of you
